I’m a professional photographer living by the beach in Sydney, and specialise in artistic documentary photography and regularly shoot weddings, editorial, events and portraits. My commercial work here is mingled with copious amounts of personal work, which regularly features film, holgas and instant polaroids and here too.
I am an independent artist who uses a camera as a medium to become a visual story teller. I also have a healthy rebellious streak towards photography for the masses (aka robo-photos) I like to challenge the norm of what you know as professional photography and here, there is no robot poses, no cheese, no prepackaged ad nauseum or tricky dodgy up-selling. As you can probably see, I am not your typical photographer or big studio. I see things differently and the artist inside seeks images that are emotive, organic and real.

ABOUT YOU:
You are stylish, fun, a little bit cheeky, a big bit funky. You like the arts, have a bit of flair and like to have your finger on the pulse. You value photography as an art. You may have a holga hidden away somewhere and feel a bit nostalgic about the days of film. It’s important for you to find the right artist, and that’s why you are here. CONTEMPORARY WEDDINGS:
I am a wedding photojournalist, and strive to capture unscripted wedding moments as they happen. Occasionally we will have some directed moments but as I have a contemporary, artistic approach, I shoot to capture real beauty with a low key documentary style. I absolutely avoid the phoney poses and staged scenery aka ‘robo-pics’ which seem to be everywhere these days. I challenge the norm of what you know as traditional based photography and love to show that they don’t have to settle for boring prepaid packages.
We have all been to a wedding or two with the loud bossy photographer ordering people around… well I am here to say, that I am the antithesis of that. I tell your story with a style that is artistic photojournalism which will tell your whole story in a unique way. From start to finish. A wedding is an all day event, and so is becomes my job to photograph it. Wedding commissions start at $3,000. Add ons include albums and enlargements. LIFESTYLE PORTRAITURE:
For those who love their family, their art and their home and are looking for ways to celebrate them within your living spaces and lifestyle. I can create beautiful pieces of art with your family history recorded in front of the lens and showcased in an impressive, yet liveable way. Due to my love of photojournalism, my vision for these lifestyle sessions is to tell a story of a particular event like a fishing trip, a date night, a walk in the rock pools, a visit to a fav cafe … rather than just hanging at a pretty location. Its a dynamic, interactive and fun way to tell your true story. Lifestyle portrait sessions start at $500. Add ons include albums and enlargements.

FILM, HOLGA, POLAROIDS!
I like to keep alive the art and romance of film photography by offering holga sessions as part of your wedding day or portrait session. Read here for more information. Sometimes I feel in the dawn of digital, that a little of the art of photography has been lost a little and it reminds me of a time that is gentle, so whimsical and elegant . My aim is to push the creative boundaries every time I pick up my camera, whichever one that may be (and I have a whole dang collection!) Please note there is an extra cost to cover film processing.
