We began in Kirsty’s family home, and as Kirsty is the eldest of 7 and the first to get married, it really was full of excitement. I love capturing details around the family home that speak of the day, the family clock, the date on the felt board and yes, that newborn photograph below is Kirsty herself.
We had beautiful windy blue skies for their Hunter Valley winter wedding and it was fantastic to see how relaxed they were in front of the camera together. We had so much time shooting on a private farm nearby after their ceremony at Lovedale Chapel, in between sips of champagne for them in the back of the awesome 1950s wedding cars. Kirsty’s veil was incredible too, a photographer loves nothing better than a long flowing veil, together with gorgeous windy landscapes.
The reception was an intimate affair in Muse Restaurant, Pokolbin which is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the Hunter Valley. We set up a little photo booth for the guests to enjoy as well and it rocked! Congratulations Kirsty and Michael on a fabulous day! Here is a peek at their wedding day and all the wonderful (etsy!) crafty details. Thanks for assisting, Kellee!
