What a fabulous weekend down in the Southern Highlands recently shooting Ed and Emily’s wedding at Summerlees. It was the first wedding for me where it literally poured the whole day but Summerlees Cottage was just such a perfect location that I don’t think anyone really minded. Emily and Ed handmade so many little details and I must mention the array of Wedding Cakes! I think there was at least 6 to choose from, all most fabulous than the last.
The day went so smoothly with the help from Sarah Johnston, Director of Girl Friday Weddings, she was fantastic to work with – Sarah is actually in one of the photos helping the bride walk down the very wet ‘aisle’. The ceremony had to be moved inside at the last minute and with Sarah’s help, it made it all the more intimate and cosy. The dress was incredible and the bride wore flats, which I think is just fabulous. I love it when a bride wear’s exactly what she wants to. A big thank you to my assistant, Kellee Walsh who held the umbrella over me so I could capture all the portraits! She has been a fabulous help recently with my huge amount of weddings as well.
