From our first phone call, it felt like Jessie and I were friends. As it turned out, we did know of each other already but just hadn’t met so it was lovely to see them her get married down in the Southern Highlands. My favourite weddings are where the bride and groom really stamp their personalities on the day and do it their way, and this day was so fabulous, its hard to know where to begin.
From arriving in snow flurries, to a warm toasty beautiful house in Robertson after a long drive, it was so lovely to meet everyone. The ceremony took place in the vines on the property and the walk up and back was spectacular, albeit a little cold! Despite the weather, everything flowed so naturally and beautifully and it was one of the most emotional days I have ever been a part of. Their cheese ‘cake’ must be mentioned as it was just cheese and more cheese – such a fabulous idea!
Jessie and Derek were very keen on my role as being a witness to their day and just letting it all unfold exactly as it should. I really enjoyed observing the details, scenery, connections and friendships all around me, so much love and laughter!
Congratulations Jessie and Derek, here is your sneak peek, please share and enjoy!
then as with any good party, the slow dancing….
turns into some fast dancing!
