Personal Work: Photo a Day. #39
(Every summer holidays, I complete a personal project of a Photo a Day. Its about us, simple moments bound into an Art Book so we never forget. Just for us.)

Camping before school goes back. Couldn’t sleep so was up early. There were no clocks so I don’t know the exact time. But it was so early that the light was blue.

Haircuts for school. We go to a proper Italian barber and the boys love it. Reminds me of Italy. There are always caps on the hat stand, half drunk espresso shots, men shouting hello in Italian as they pass by and the Italian newspapers that the kids try and decipher as we wait our turn.

Inside 24hrs, Roger Federer and the Australian Open organised a huge charity match to support the Haiti crisis. They raised more than $150,000 and we managed to get front row seats. We were treated to a fun match between Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Serena Williams, Kim Clijsters, Lleyton Hewitt, Rafael Nadal, Sam Stosur and Novak Djokovic. They all had mics on and were chatting and laughing – and the tennis was amazing! Needless to say, the biggest tennis fan of the family was very impressed :) especially when he appeared waving on the big screen!

Wonderful day spent with a photographer friend, Dale Taylor at Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne. The kids had a ball running around the gardens all day, such a beautiful place. The tilt shift got a work out today.
