6 year old twins | Sydney Portrait Photographer

This family bid on a session with me at an auction with our children’s school. We had a ball running around after each other in the park, these two just didn’t stop phew! But wow, did they love the bubbles… such a gorgeous family. Thanks for letting me spend the afternoon with you all and I will have your slideshow up for you in a few days…

Canon Photo5 Competition Entries

I have recently entered the Canon photo5 Competition for 2008. I was a finalist last year but I have a feeling this year is going to be waaay bigger with the number of entries already! They send you a box with 5 items in it… a tealight, a crayon, a red ribbon, bubbles and a cocktail umbrella and you can interpret them as you wish. I love it as its such a great way to get the creative juices flowing and even showcase a good cause…

Also keep them in mind if you are registered to vote….. if you feel they are worthy of a vote, please feel free ;)

1. Tealight: Burning Wax

2. Crayon – The Girl that Snapped!

3. Red Ribbon: Lance Feeney has been living with HIV for 25 years. He shares his life with his partner Geoff and their tortoiseshell cat Missy. He works for Positive Life NSW, a nonprofit community organisation representing the interests of people living with HIV since 1988. He advocates for people living with HIV to receive high quality medical, care and support services. Please remember to buy a red ribbon for World Aids Day on December 1.

4. Cocktail Umbrella: Point in Macro

5. Bubbles – My dog hates bubbles. HATES them. I wouldn’t be sitting near him if they are around. You have been warned.

Only 9 months old and onto her 4th photo shoot | Sydney Photographer

You might remember the maternity shoot I did on the cliff tops at dawn with this gorgeous first time mother. It was one of the most amazing shoots I have ever had .. and less than 48hrs later, out popped this little girl! She has had a photo shoot in the hospital and again once she got home…. and here she is again! A big bouncing 9 month old. Her mum is an actor and voice over artist and her dad is a comedian and voice over artist, so needless to say this little girl was very happy in front of the camera.

The day turned out to be a bit overcast and cold so we had to ditch a few original ideas but wow, did she love the petti skirt! She was also very interested in my camera and followed it most of the time I was there… Enjoy your sneak peek T and S and I will have your slideshow up in a few days.

Quick change of clothes for the family christmas card…

The Night Noodle Markets | Sydney Photographer

We had a look at the Night Noodle Markets tonight in Hyde Park – all part of Good Food Month sponsored by the Sydney Morning Herald. They are showcasing all the finalists from Shoot the Chef 2008 so it was exciting to see my photo on the big screen … The noodle markets are fantastic and my kids had a ball! Great food, buzzing atmosphere, great wine, coffee, icecream, chinese dragons in the crowd, drums beating! It all finishes up at the end of next week so make sure you get down there…

Chinese dragons had the kids screaming with delight!

Ring a ring a rosy in Hyde Park

Spooky shot of St Marys Cathedral on the way back to the carpark…

This little guy was so quick! He quietly got a handful of sand, and a second later he threw it at the camera!

Wow, I won the Centro Smile Photography Competition!

I have had an amazing time with my photography in the last 6 months, it feels like it is soaring to new heights and is very exciting. I was a finalist with Shoot the Chef 2008 and now I am the national winner for the Centro Smile Photography Competition!

I beat 44,000 entries across Australia to take out the $10,000 prize, very happy with that indeed! I also won a small point and shoot camera with a printer. Here is a photo below (thanks to Chantelle) with my big fake cheque and my boys are holding the winning photo… whilst my daughter already has her hands on the camera I won as well and I am not sure I will be able to wrestle it off her now :)
