And now you are nearly 4 | Sydney Portrait Photographer

My gorgeous little boy is just about to turn 4! He was 6 weeks premature and finally seems to have caught up in height and weight although he is always on the smaller side.

He is our little peanut and just the cutest little boy. Turning 4 is such a milestone in this family, so different to 3 and just so grown up. He has been telling everyone he is 4 for like the last 2 months, he just can’t wait!

We love you Peanut!

Learning how to blow bubbles | Sydney Portrait Photographer

I remember the first time I blew bubbles as a child, and I am hoping my daughter remembers this time as well. There were a few hits and misses in the beginning, but she pretty much got it straight away….. ahh the simple joys of childhood :)

Shoot the Chef 2008 | Sydney Portrait Photographer

Well I didn’t win :) but the dinner last night was fabulous. It was great to meet so many other fantastic photographers and be part of something that had such a great energy to it. It was a real high to see my photo up in lights amongst so many others that were fantastic as well. You can view the photo that I submitted here and the rest of the shoot here.

You can see the winner and other finalists in this Shoot the Chef Slideshow 2008 – my picture is the 2nd one that comes on display after the Caviar face (how creepy is that photo!)

Thanks for all the people that wished me luck as well, it was really appreciated!

A stream train ride through the mountains | Sydney Portrait Photographer

We recently spent a lovely weekend with some good friends in the mountains…. here are a few snaps that I love. There were 6 kids all together for the weekend and they had ball! The train carriage filled with this golden light from the setting sun towards the end, it was magic!

Trip to the big city | Sydney Portrait Photographer

Look at these beautiful children visiting from Brisbane… I just couldn’t get enough of their baby brown eyes! These sweet sisters were happy to play up to the camera which always makes it heaps of fun! And little boys and sticks, what can I say! The only way I could get this little man to look at the camera was to ask him to show me his sticks :)

Hope you guys enjoyed your time in the big city and hope to see you down here again! xx

Look what I got | Sydney Portrait Photographer

Omg I am in LOVE! The iPhone is the most gorgeous, sexiest little thing I have laid hands on in a long time.. although once I pick up a 5D mkII that will win for sexiness no doubt ;)

If you haven’t seen an iPhone, go look at one asap! Best phone I have ever had… it even has a compass so I always know which was is north for the gorgeous light heh

The Sweetness of 16 | Sydney Portrait Photographer

I recently photographed a Sweet 16 birthday party for a friend and had a ball! There was fab music, cake, dancing on chairs, high heels, laughter and even a chocolate and strawberry fondue. Everyone was in heaven! It was pouring rain that night and very windy so outside photos were impossible. I don’t usually do a lot of flash photography (well hardly any if the truth be know) but this was a heap of fun and opened up a little flash world that I hadn’t previously known existed.

Happy Sweet 16 S! May all your dreams come true!

And that isn’t me on the right hand side, having handed my camera to a bystander so I could participate in the all important hair-shake-dance with the party girl… the rumour isn’t true. Ok. right. umm yeah.

Sweet Spring Light | Sydney Portrait Photographer

We had a fabulous playdate shoot with Chantelle from Forever Bliss Photography. The kids had a ball running around in the warm spring sun. But I must say it was this little boy below that completely stole the show…. what a little star! Looks like he loves being in front of the camera ;)

There were two older boys there, but this was about all I saw of them all day! They were running around having a ball and weren’t the least bit interested to sit for photos … too many places to hide, too many pretend monsters to catch, too many sticks to turn into swords :)

A Wedding to Remember | Sydney Wedding Photographer

I would love to show case this wedding I shot a while ago… it was just the most fabulous day and I have never met a more relaxed couple on their big day. Even though it poured all morning, we had a great little shoot before the ceremony, and then the skies cleared just in time for the ceremony. I have included a few of my favourites of the day… and I can’t wait for the maternity shoot either ;)
