Back from the Coast where we indulged in lots of beach walks, swimming and the boys had so much fun doing boys stuff … like throwing rocks hahar! The colours of the rocks were truly amazing in the setting sun. I hadn’t touched my camera for like 3 days which is a minor miracle but hauled it out for the last hour of our last day on the beach…. Happy New Year everyone!

ps: is it just me or is photo no.6 a totally grown up ‘guy’ kind of stance lol! First glimpse of him being a ‘guy’ rather than a ‘boy’ hehe

And little miss needed cuddles as the sun went down….

Just letting you all know that caspix.photography will be spending a lot of time away from the computer these holidays so please be patient if you have emailed me. I will be at home with all my children exploring, enjoying and just being together.

I will also be doing my photo-a-day which is a personal project I do every year for my little family and then make a beautiful book for us. It’s a really important project for me as they can get quite neglected by my camera during the year due to work commitments. I also think it is so important to start the year off shooting for my own fun, no pressure and free to try new things – especially with a new 85mm f1.2 lens coming and the 5D markII (my winnings from the recent Canon Competition) – so there will be plenty to see on this blog over the next 6 weeks.

Business will be back to normal at the end of January when school goes back, although I may be able to squeeze in an extra shoot or two during the holidays. Current orders will now be processed after January 12th as my print lab has now closed for the year.

I am shooting a Trash the Dress that I am really excited about in the coming weeks, which will have no less that 3 different dress changes and two new secret locations … a gorgeous family shoot and then a sweet newborn in the early New Year so make sure you check back for those.

I was so lucky to meet this little cherub and he was just the best little model. He has such a gorgeous nature and sat around for me for so long… for the first time ever, I was finished before time. The wind was incredible that day and the light was bouncing all around … I had a lot of fun with it… enjoy your sneak peek little N with mum and dad! I will have your slideshow ready in a few days.

We were waiting for big brother to come down with his class to do their school Christmas concert, so these two started mucking around for the camera. Even from these few shots, I can already see how much fun this lens is going to be

Had a lovely recent mini session with one of my first ever clients… I last saw this little girl when she was a tiny baby and it was so good to see her again! And wow, was she go go GO! She definitely made me work for my shots but we had a great afternoon, even though it was so hot. I also got a gorgeous shot of L’s aunty! Here is your sneak peek S and L, will have your slide show to you in a few days.

My apologies for taking a little while with the draw… we have had many birthday festivities today for my husband and are only winding down now.

And I have also had a number of competition wins and finalist photos, and am hugely grateful for that as well.

I have just been given permission to show my recent maternity shoot at Bondi as a slideshow, so many more images to view… Please wait for it to load and … enjoy!

And I received this beautiful email from my lovely client as well:

Yesterday I shot a party of 15 year old girls, there were party games, fabulous food and lots of dancing… there are heaps more to share but here are a few that I just had to show straight away….

We had a great day out on the beach recently and this little pirate was practising his sword maneuvers in the water whilst the sun was high. The princess just relaxed under the pier, collecting shells, making silly faces and lounging in the boat … I got a chance to play with Channy’s 85mm f1.2 whilst I am waiting for mine to arrive from Canon on back order (so excited!)

I so love shooting at f1.2 and tend to leave it at that for the whole session if its a fun day out
